The role of the early warning aircraft is the “eyes” of fighter jets or bombers. Through radar scanning, our fighter planes can attack more flexibly. At the same time, they can effectively prevent enemy missiles and aircraft from attacking and cooperate with the command to conduct air defense interception.
Moreover, compared with the radar on the ground, the early warning aircraft has more flexible reconnaissance capabilities and will not be affected by different terrains.
In the beginning, the United States proposed to provide Japan, Australia, South Korea and other countries with a large number of F35 fighters, thus forming an encirclement of China and trying to counter China’s J-20 in number.
At the same time, at the tactical level, the U.S. military has also released another strategy: to provide enough early warning aircraft for the F35 to command and then crush the J-20.
