In a recent interview with “Russia-24”, Vladimir Artyakov, a senior Rostech official, spoke about the significant expansion in the production of Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 fighter jets in Russia.
Production increase for Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 fighters
Artyakov mentioned that, at the request of the Ministry of Defense and the current global situation, Russia has significantly increased the production of warplanes. Especially, the manufacture of the Su-34, Su-30 and Su-35 Line fighters has experienced a notable increase, reaching a doubling in volume.
Artyakov emphasized the significant investment Rostech has made in modernizing its production facilities and in specialized training. The uninterrupted effort of the workers in three shifts has been a crucial factor in this process.
In addition, Artyakov confirmed the mass production of “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles, in accordance with the requests of the Russian Defense Ministry.
Rostec adapts its production plants to meet the demand
The increase in the production of the Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 fighter jets implies a series of changes and improvements in the production plants to meet the growing demand. Among the modifications carried out in the facilities of the Sukhoi plants, the implementation of new equipment and the modernization of existing equipment stand out, which allows for increasing efficiency and reducing manufacturing times.
Rostec has also increased its investment in research and development, with the aim of improving the design and capabilities of these fighters, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of military technology and continue to meet the demands of modern warfare.

Robust production of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile
In contrast to the rumors of missile shortage, Artyakov assured that the production of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile is stable and robust, meeting all the demands of the Ministry of Defense. The initial limitations caused by the simultaneity of testing and production have been overcome, and production has now been scaled up.
Artyakov also denied Kyiv’s claims about the interception of Russian Kinzhals by the US Patriot air defense system, describing them as “Ukrainian propaganda”. In addition, he highlighted the advanced technology of the Kinzhal system, underlining its current invulnerability in terms of missile interception.
