Israel gives the Gaza population 24 hours to move south

The IDF has warned about the mobilization, which has raised speculation about an imminent ground incursion.

The  IDF  has warned about the mobilization, which has raised speculation about an imminent ground incursion. This warning follows six days of aerial bombardment by Israel in response to the attack by  Hamas terrorists on Saturday.

According to a UN spokesperson, around 1.1 million Palestinians live in northern Wadi Gaza. This notification not only concerns the general population but also UN personnel and refugees who are in their facilities in the aforementioned region.

“The  United Nations considers it impossible for a movement of this type to occur without devastating humanitarian consequences,” the spokesperson said. He went on to make an urgent call to rescind any order of this nature, “avoiding what could transform what is already a tragedy into a calamitous situation.”

The notice was delivered directly to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs team leaders and the  UN Department of Security in Gaza. The point of contact was his liaison officers in the IDF.

In relation to the current situation, Israel has already intensified restrictions on Gaza. Among the measures taken, it has cut off the supply of water, electricity and gas, closed its own border access points to the enclave and bombed the Egyptian Rafah border crossing, leaving it temporarily inoperative.
