Rafael Advanced Defense Systems: New Award

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, based in Israel, has been awarded a contract that will allow it to offer comprehensive maintenance services to the navy of an Asian country. The services will cover a wide range of operational systems, including naval weapons stations, missile systems and surveillance devices.

The contractual relationship is multi-year and estimated to reach 100 million NIS (30 million dollars). The systems included in the maintenance are TYPHOON and MINI-TYPHOON, SPIKE ER and NLOS, among others.

Poland strengthens its arsenal with SPIKE LR missiles

In another recent operation, the Polish Ministry of Defense announced the acquisition of hundreds of SPIKE LR missiles. The purchase was made through MESKO, Rafael’s local industrial partner, and is valued at approximately $100 million.

MESKO has been a trusted partner of RAFAEL in Poland since 2003. The firm has manufactured SPIKE missiles for the Polish Ministry of Defense in previous deals, and this will be the third contract related to the SPIKE family of missiles.

Local manufacturing in Poland has provided the country’s Ministry of Defense with more than 3,000 SPIKE missiles, highlighting the strong production capacity on Polish soil.

Spike: A missile with a global presence

Spike missiles are known for their innovation and precision. They can be launched from 45 different platforms on land, sea and in the air and are used by 41 countries around the world.

More than 40,000 Spike family missiles have been supplied globally, with more than 7,000 launches in training and battlefield operations.

The Spike played an important role in recent conflicts, such as the second Karabakh war in 2020, in which it contributed to the victory of Azerbaijan.
